The Methodist Church in Selston

Messy Church is a fun time for children and their families, a chance to relax and be creative TOGETHER, and an opportunity to think about the things that matter to us and to God.

This new thing is based on the idea of families being together, having fun worshipping God.

The reason it is called Messy Church is because no one who comes to church is perfect, our lives are quite 'messy' for many reasons.

It sa also called Messy Church because we are going to be making things and we will get messy. Because you might get messy, it is strongly advised that you wear clothes you can get messy in. 

From the moment you turn up you will be given a warm welcome, a chance to look round at the activities. You can then choose your meal and enjoy it with the whole church family.

After a 2 minute introduction to the theme you will set loose on the various activities, around 4 to 6 for you to choose from. After about 50minutes we will come together for a 20 minute worship time. This will be a short prayer, a couple of songs, a story and summary followed by a closing prayer.

Then you get to collect you crafts and things before going home with a spring in your step.
